Came here today with the fam for lunch and today is Mother’s Day. Not too crowded at 1:30 when we showed up. They seated us at a booth which was nice and we really had awesome service. The waitress was extremely friendly and attentive. I got a grilled chicken, my mom got the salad bar and my sister got the grilled cheese and chili my dad didn’t eat because he chose to eat bugs he found hanging in a web. Yea he’s gross lol. The food was absolutely delicious and we didn’t feel rushed at all. One downside though is our booth had a jukebox but it didn’t work I was gutted. That would have been the true diner experience. We will definitely be back here again as the food was awesome and the vibe was on point! Please check this place out as it’s also really close to dorney park so it’s convenient. The prices were not bad either.
This is the best diner in PA. We thank Jill for being such a gracious, welcoming, and industrious server as well as the cook for accommodating us. The place is immacculate and elegant yet warm and inviting.
Fantastic diner experience! The late night crew is so friendly and helpful, I’ve only been here a few times but they still remembered my name. I’ve had their hot tea, slices of pie and cakes and a few menu items all of which have been delicious. The atmosphere is very welcoming and warm. I can’t wait to come back again!
Driving from Connecticut to Florida, we stopped to get gas and breakfast. We came across the Starlite Diner and what a gem. With the retro look, the friendly host, the very efficient wait staff and amazing food. Everything was perfect. A special thanks to Ray the owner who went above and beyond. No need to look any further for a great restaurant.
Starlight Diner and Lounge is your standard, diner—nothing particularly memorable, but nothing offensive either. My wife ordered the French toast and I went with the sausage and cheese omelet. Both dishes were perfectly fine; they hit the spot for a casual breakfast, even if they didn't stand out from any other diner. The interior is showing its age. You’ll definitely notice a few spots around the place that are in need of some repairs and TLC. One major plus is the easy parking, which takes the stress out of the arrival. It’s a decent spot for a quick, no-frills bite if you happen to be in the neighborhood, but probably not somewhere you’d go out of your way to visit again.
I just moved to Whitehall 2 months ago. On Friday, Feb 6th, after having a horrible experience at Panera, I went to Starlite Diner for some takeout breakfast. They were fast, efficient, and the food was EXCELLENT! The first girl that greeted me was smiling, open and funny. The manager who was also at the counter/register area as well, snapped at me to "wait!" to pay for my food. It was so rude, it surprised me and I took a step back. The first girl, seeing what just happened, quickly jumped in to "smooth" things over. It wasn't until the girl made a comment about the woman's new granddaughter, that the woman finally broke a smile. It shouldn't take one of the staff members to snap this woman out of her rude disposition. Because of the person I am, I chose to engage and ask questions then, about her granddaughter, and it was a nicer exchange. I WILL go back, because it's clear that it's a good dinrr with great food. So I'll give grace and chalk it up to her having a bad morning. However, it should never be taken out on the customers. That said, I would recommend that the front reception desk/register area should only have people there to kindly greet the customers on their way in/out. It will make the overall experience, that much better.
I stopped in and ordered the turkey melt with a side of potato pierogi, and everything was excellent. The turkey melt was perfectly grilled and flavorful, and the pierogi were a delicious, comforting bonus. They also offer complimentary soup, and today’s choices were navy bean or chicken noodle. I went with the chicken noodle and it was loaded, hearty, and incredibly flavorful — honestly one of the best diner soups I’ve had. Service was friendly, attentive, and made the whole meal even better. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area!
I picked this diner because of its rating and they absolutely delivered! The food & service were absolutely fantastic. I asked the server for recommendations and she listed off her favorites. We ordered the potato skins, chicken fingers, coleslaw slaw, perogies, cheesesteak & egg platter. Everything came out very quickly and perfectly cooked. The portions were very generous & the prices were fair. We'll definitely be returning.
